A'Soud Global School Duqm (AGSD) Provides International Curriculums

A'Soud Global School Duqm (AGSD) is the first international school in SEZAD, having opened to students for the 2021 academic year in Duqm. AGSD offers state-of-the-art Cambridge International Curriculum to students residing in Duqm who come from a variety of national backgrounds.

AGSD is built on an area of 15,000 square meters and has several student educational and recreational facilities, including large classrooms, sports facilities, swimming pools, areas for outdoor activities and games, a football stadium, an indoor sports hall, a library and a computer and ICT hall, an arts and acting hall and laboratories.

Amund Graffitied, AGSD principal, said that AGSD attracts pre-school to 10th- grade students from different countries to enroll in its trimester system for each academic year. It currently has 231 students from 22 countries.

She pointed out that AGSD is a leader in setting private education practices and standards in the region and provides high-quality educational services and international curriculum.

Ms. Lamia Othman, a teacher at AGSD, explained that AGSD has 33 teachers and assistants who strives to provide an appropriate learning environment and different educational equipment and supplies to develop students' creativity and thinking skills. She also noted that many subjects are taught at AGSD, such as Arabic, Islamic education, English, mathematics, sports, music, arts and other cultural, scientific and sports programs and activities.

Alya, a Filipino student at AGSD, said that AGSD organizes many educational, cultural and recreational activities, and that she was impressed by Duqm climate, especially its Arabian Sea beaches.

Alicia, a French student at AGSD, also explained how she is also impressed by Duqm climate and different recreational activities, and said: "I have been here in Duqm for two years and I like it very much, and studying here is fun. We learn many subjects here, such as mathematics, English and many other skills."

Asif, a UK student at AGSD, explained that he learns many skills at AGSD and the school offers students several enrichment program.

Malisa, a Belgian Student at AGSD, stressed that she can learn several subjects that will help her build her future at AGSD, describing her life experience in Duqm as "beautiful".

Denal, a Kenyan Student at AGSD, said that learning experience and curricula at AGSD are good and help build students’ knowledge, pointing out that AGSD administration organizes many outdoors events that introduce students to Duqm and its most important tourist, cultural and entertainment attractions.
